1923 Martin Bacon 0-21 Guitar

The Bacon Banjo Company in Groton Connecticut ordered a small handful of guitars from the Martin Company in 1922
as samples with the intention of selling a line of Martin made instruments with the Bacon name.

Bacon originally requested the guitars "in the white", unfinished, but changed their minds and sent the initial two guitars back to Martin to be finished.

This guitar is a wonderful sounding Martin 0-21 with the Bacon name stamped on the back of the headstock.

The guitar is stamped "Made by Bacon" despite being manufactured by Martin.
