1931 Martin 0-17S Guitar
A special spruce top version of the Style 17, with a
distinctive pickguard, built for the Montgomery Ward Catalog
and Stores.
Serial number 47292
The
3rd guitar of the first batch of 24 of the Style 0-17S,
stamped June 17, 1931.

In 1931, Martin produced two
batches of 25 guitars, followed by a third batch of
10.
In the first half of 1932, Martin
produced one batch of 10 guitars, followed by a number of smaller
batches,
totaling
approximately 26 instruments.
In both years combined, Martin produced approximately 86
